Chris Thomas is a successful businessman and the founder of a crisis management PR firm. When Chris decided to expand his influence as an author and speaker, launching his new book “Unexpected,” he turned to SalesCreative to develop a brand identity that would set him apart in his new ventures. Our task was to create a brand that reflected Chris’s expertise and authority while also making him relatable and approachable to a wider audience.

The key challenge in this project was to separate Chris Thomas, the established businessman, from Chris Thomas, the author and speaker. We needed to craft a brand identity that could bridge this gap, promoting his new offerings while still honoring his professional background.

Our Strategy

Our overall strategy for Chris Thomas was to create a new, distinct brand identity that would effectively promote his work as an author and speaker. The project kicked off with an in-depth strategy session to clearly define the business goals and brand vision.

  • Tagline and Colors: We started by developing the core elements of the brand identity, including the tagline and color palette. The chosen colors and tagline were designed to evoke trust, professionalism, and approachability.
  • Logo Design: With the brand elements in place, we moved on to designing the logo. The logo was created to be modern, clean, and versatile, representing Chris’s dual roles as a business leader and a public figure.
  • Capturing the Essence: A key component of the project was the photography session. We aimed to capture images that reflected Chris’s personality, confidence, and thought leadership. The photographs were intended to be used across various marketing platforms, including his website, social media, and PR campaigns.
  • Times Square Feature: One of the highlights of the project was seeing our photography featured on a billboard in Times Square to promote Chris’s new book, “Unexpected.” This was a major milestone in the PR campaign and demonstrated the effectiveness of the visual assets we created.
  • Business Cards and Letterhead: We designed custom business cards and letterhead that aligned with the new brand identity. These materials were crafted to be elegant and professional, ensuring that every interaction Chris had with his audience was consistent with his brand.
  • Brand Board: We developed a comprehensive brand board that included all the visual elements—colors, fonts, logo variations, and more—ensuring consistency across all marketing materials.
  • WordPress Site: To bring Chris’s new brand to life online, we developed a WordPress website that was both visually striking and user-friendly. The site was designed to showcase his book, “Unexpected,” his speaking engagements, and his thought leadership in crisis management.
  • User Experience: The website was built with the user in mind, offering seamless navigation and a clear, compelling presentation of Chris’s work. The design was fully responsive, ensuring that it looked and functioned perfectly on all devices.

Results

The result of our collaboration with Chris Thomas was a cohesive, powerful brand identity that effectively positioned him as a leading author and speaker. The new branding and website not only separated his personal brand from his business but also gave him the tools to market his book and speaking services effectively.
